Sculptra stimulates the skin's natural collagen production
Sculptra is a very effective treatment for rejuvenation and firming of the skin. Sculptra consists of natural lactic acid and is a strong stimulator for the production of collagen type I and III. This ensures a tightening of the skin, recovery of volume loss and reduction of fine lines in the skin. Collagen is a fibrous protein that gives structure to the skin and supports the functions of elastin and hyaluronic acid. It helps maintain the skin's shape, gives it firmness and keeps it soft and hydrated. This results in a fresh and more youthful appearance. The advantage of Sculptra:

Treatment
The treatment is individually adjusted on the basis of skin weakness and loss of volume. After this personal analysis, Sculptra will be placed under the skin using a number of small injections. For best results, two consecutive treatments are required 8 weeks apart. The production of collagen is a gradual process and usually takes about 8 weeks. The result will therefore gradually become visible.
Aftercare: It is important to follow the following advice after treatment:
- After treatment, the treated area should be massaged 5 times a day for approximately 5 minutes each time. This distributes the product evenly over the skin and prevents bubbles from forming.
- Do not wear make-up until 4 hours after treatment.
- Avoid sauna/tanning/sports for the first 48 hours
Risks: If side effects occur, they are usually mild to moderate and include transient reactions such as redness, pain, swelling, bruising and/or bumps at the injection site.
